Denying any backdoor understanding with “anyone”, a member of the advisory committee of the Dera Sacha Sauda today said “we had clarified to the Akal takht that the dress our chief wore, on the day of the controversy, was not by way of making any comparison with Guru Gobind Singh. We, mortals, are nothing in comparison with the Gurus.”
Dera sources, requesting anonymity, said the announcement of ‘pardon’ by the Akal Takht was preceded by meeting of a core committee of dera members with all the elected and non-elected MLAs and MPs of the SAD.
On allegations of backdoor understanding, Jagjit Singh, dera spokesperson, said, “The issue has been cleared with the Akal Takht without any preconditions or demands. Anyone is free to say anything or look for meanings into the development. We cannot help it.”
