Masaledaar Aalu

Ingredients
  • 1 kg small potatoes
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp roasted cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp roasted coriander seeds
  • 15 kashmiri red chillies(soaked and ground)
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 3/4 cup tamarind pulp
  • 1 tbsp salt or according 2 taste
  • 20 curry leaves
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
Directions
  1. Boil whole potatoes and then peel them.
  2. Mix tamarind pulp,ginger garlic paste,cumin seeds,coriander seeds, kashmiri red chillies and salt in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves,mustard seeds and prepared masala.
  4. Gradually add little water and cook till oil appears on the surface.
  5. Put potatoes in the without adding water, cook for 15 minutes on low flame.
  6. Take them out in a dish and sprinkle chaat masala and coriander leaves on top and serve.
