Ingredients
Papad 6-7
Potatoes 2-3 boiled & mashed
Mustard seeds
Jeera
Curry patta
Salt, red chilli powder , turmeric, jeera powder
Lemon Juice
fresh dhaniya
& Oil for frying
Method
Take 2 spoons oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When the seeds start spluttering, add curry leaves and sauté for a minute. Add cumin powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
Add mashed potatoes and mix well till the masala coats the potatoes well. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well.
Soak paapad in warm water for ten seconds, remove and place on a clean surface.
Place equal portion of potato mixture on each paapad and fold the paapad into parcels and seal the edges( like momos or wontons)
Heat oil in a kadai, deep-fry the parcels, one at a time, on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with green chutney or ketchup
Note - You can also add peas, capisum, onion, gobhi or other veggies as per your taste
