Living organisms share some capabilites:
-They're able to reproduce
-They're able to grow
-They die
All living things share some traits, that allow them to do all these complicated processes. For example, living things are enriched with C12 (an isotope of Carbon) compared to non-living objects, that on the contrary, are enriched with C13 (another isotope of Carbon atom) which is heavier than C12.
Viruses are able to reproduce, but can't live by themselves, they need a living organism. Therefore, many scientists classify them as "living structures" but not living things.
Rocks can't do any of these processes, so they can't be considered living things.
Yes! Rock are part of creation just like humans. But our job is the worship the shapeless and timeless Akal Puraak..not his creation...not humans and rocks....
