Cold::

Desi Nuskhe::
1. Drink hot tea (chai) 4-5 times a day with lemon (nimbu), honey (shehad)and ginger (adrak)
2. Prepare nose drops - Take 1/4 liter of water and boil it. Add salt and ginger to it. Using a cloth, apply it to the nostrils as required
3. Mix half a cup of warm water with one tsp lemon juice and one tsp honey and take it twice a day.
4. Chew ginger (adrak) with salt.
5. Take equal amounts of cardamom (lavang), ginger (adrak) and kalimir (black pepper) and elaichi (cinnamon) and chew it 3-4 times a day.
6. Mix onion juice and garlic juice and have it once a day. Onion provides a lot of heat which helps in reducing irritation in nose.
8. Jeera (Cumin) is a good cure. Take jeera seeds and roast them. powder it and have it with hot milk.
9. Drink chicken soup with garlic, dhania (cilantro) and ginger as and when needed
10. Boiled eggs are great food to have during cold as it is very hot.
11. Last but not the least - THE NUMBER ONE CURE! heat milk and add 2 ts of turmeric powder (haldi) and have it before going to bed. This also prevents cough.
