One of my friend,she works with me and wanted a new PC and she was getting quotes from Harvey norman and all. She came up to me and said you know a lot about IT tell me how much I should spend.
She showed me a quote from DELL about 2000 Dollars ! I was like you gotta be kidding me.

I made her a new PC today good specs then what she got from other and under 800 dollars

Processor: Core i5 650 (3.2 Ghz , 4 cores)
Motherboards: Asus P7H55-M-LX
Harddrive: Seagate SATA 1 TB
CASE: Cooler Master RC690
DVD RW: LG Dual layer DVD RW
Screen: 23” 2ms DVI LG 2353V-PF ( Full HD LCD)
RAM : 4G Kit ddr3 1600 Patriot ( 2 x 2 GB)
Keyboard/mouse: Logitech D’T Wireless MK250

Total: 807 Dollars Australian

( All you need for playing games is : Good Graphics card)

u could have made it even cheaper...by opting for AMD..rather than the costly and less effective Intel..

4gb..was that aa DDR 3 @ 1066Mhz or higher?
me love ATI more these days..earlier it was Nvidia :p

It was higher am pretty sure

Nvidia is owned by Intel and intel spends a lot on graphics

AMD owns ATI they dnt spend a lot on graphics. thats wat i heard.
i got pci-express slot, pci slots are full
one has a IE1394 firewire card and other has a 5.1 channel sound card

u could have gone for an external sound card, usb form...provides u with a knob for volume control..love that..:p
pci-e is better for graphics than a standard pci...

lot of intel cpu's/motherboards have AGP slots

external je koi USB bachi hougi ta lava. hahah

ek te USB hub ( you can't use it for alot of things)
