CM gives Rs 10 lakh aid

Chief Minister Harish Rawat today handed over a cheque for Rs 10 lakh to the family of martyr Mohan Nath Goswami.
The Chief Minister reached Bindukhatta residence of the martyr in Kumaon and handed over a cheque for Rs 10 lakh to Bhawana, the widow of the martyr. He also expressed condolences to Radhika Devi, mother of the martyr. He also met the martyr’s daughter Bhumika.
Later, the Chief Minister paid tributes at the ‘samadhi’ of martyr Goswami. He announced that one of the government schools in Bindukhatta would be renamed in memory of martyr Mohan Nath Goswami. He also announced setting up of a mini stadium in his memory. He also announced renaming of Haldwani-Lalkuan road as Mohan Nath Goswami road.
Rawat also promised a government job to the widow. Revenue Minister Yashpal Arya and Labour Minister Harish Chandra Durgapal accompanied him. Martyr Goswami had killed 10 terrorists within 11 days in Jammu and Kashmir before attaining martyrdom in one such terror encounter.
