BMW will launch the facelifted 7-Series for the Indian market at a function in Mumbai on April 25. The facelifted flagship car from the German automaker was unveiled globally in May 2012 and features mostly cosmetic upgrades both inside and outside the car.
Changes to the facelifted model on the outside include new LED headlamps with corona rings, a slightly modified grille, revised front bumpers, indicators and chrome inserts in both in the front and back. Inside, there are new leather seats in the front, a Bang & Olufsen audio system as well as an optional rear seat entertainment package. BMW has now also fitted a fully digital instrument cluster.
The engine line up will remain the same as the previous model; one 3.0-litre diesel mill producing 246PS+540Nm of torque and three sets of petrol mill that includes the range topping twin turbo V12 producing 545PS+750Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic gearbox.
BMW had already confirmed during the launch of the 2013 X6 SUV in November last year that they would begin local assembly of the 7-Series from 2013 onwards.
