Vidya Balan has done her first ever item number in Santosh Sivan's Malayalam movie Urumi.
Vidya plays the role a Mohiniattam dancer and the item number will be a mix of various classical and contemporary dance forms.
According to reports this item number will be very different from the regular item numbers in most of the movies.
Prithviraj plays the lead in the movie, which also stars Prabhu Deva.

Apparently, Vidya has worked very hard to get the dance moves right.
Tabu has also done a cameo in Urumi.
Urumi will mark the debut of Genelia D'Souza in Malayalam movies. She plays a Portuguese princess in the movie.

The film is based on the assassination of Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama who arrived in Kerala in 1498. Prithviraj plays the gang leader of the group that wanted to kill Vasco da Gama.
Urumi is being made in Malayalam, Tamil and English and has been shot in the beautiful locales of Kerala and Maharashtra.
Prithviraj has produced the movie along with director Santosh Sivan and Shaji Natesan.
