The lowest grossing film of all time

Zyzzyx Road, a 2006 thriller, flopped despite starring Tom Sizemore from Saving Private Ryan and Grey’s Anatomy’s Katherine Heigl! With a budget of $1.2 million, the film premiered in Dallas on February 24, 2006. It ran a single screening at noon each day for a total of seven days. Only six people paid to see it!

They only had the “premiere” in Dallas to fulfill a Screen Actor’s Guild requirement so that they could pay their actors less. In fact, one of the producers even offered to refund the money some of his friends had spent to see it!​
