Okay... So we were studying this same euthanasia cases in psyc class... In the past, there was this one doctor who created this machine, jehra Banda bahut hi jaada pain ch... As in Lyk really really painful situation kis ch there was absolutely no hope for improvement, he would help them get peace by using his created machine. They would click a button and some sort of injection or gas would come out and kill the person.
In many other cases, a father had to kill his own daughter because she was terminally ill and was in tooooo much pain.
Now the thing is that, these people had good intentions. Even then, due to how legal system works, they were charged and jailed due to their actions.
Same is wid doctor assisted suicide.. These days what comes across is that whenever it is happening, it's due to empathetic reasons, and no other selfish reasons.
The reason y it still hasn't been legalized coz the world is such a creep these days. Taking care of terminally ill people, especially in palliative care is very hard, especially on the health care providers. It is feared that people might be talked into getting doctor assisted suicide, or even other family members be pushed into... Be it selfish reasons or not.
It's all about giving the person a choice... And even though it is does happen in the back, I feel that it is better that way... Because the use is still due to compassionate reasons.
