Iron Man 2 Leads List of Most Movie Mistakes for 2010 — So Far
Nit-picky website MovieMistakes has crowned Iron Man 2 as the most mistake-ridden film of 2010 (and it's only July) with a whopping 45 flubs ranging from the frivolous to the flagrant. Rounding out the top 5 most problematic movies: Shutter Island had 34 slip-ups, The A-Team 31, Kick-Ass 15, and Alice in Wonderland with 12.
Just to be fair to Iron Man 2, many of these so-called "mistakes" are the sort that can be explained away, but there are major ones which deal with obvious editing errors and continuity problems. Unforgivable, and arguably the most glaring one takes place during the climactic battle scene where Tony (Robert Downey Jr.) calls his friend James Rhodes, "Don" — which is actor Don Cheadle's real name. Yikes! How did they miss that one?
Luckily for Robert, his gaff wasn't picked as the "best" of 2010. That honor was reserved for Alice in Wonderland when Alice's shoes turn from heels to flats as she flees from the proposal, and then back to heels again when she takes her tumble down the rabbit hole. Tsk, tsk!
