Dalhousie, 6728 feet above sea level, is a hill station par excellence. Situated on the outer slopes of Dhauladhar Range, Dalhousie is known for its bracing climate, picturesque landscapes and beautiful picnic spots. The most distinctive features are the level walks and interesting tracks amidst
dense forest. It is one of the best and inexpensive hill stations.

Khajjiar - Called the Mini Switzerland and 21 km from Gandhi Chowk (and Mehar's Hotel), it is a saucer shaped meadow surrounded by dense wooded slopes and a small lake in the middle with a small floating island. An HPTDC Tourist rest house and a few hotels are there for lodging.

A Best School in Dalhousie !!!!!!!!!

Kalatop - Halfway between Dalhousie and Khajjiar, at Lakkar Mandi, a 3 km jeep track leaves the main road and zigzags its way through the dense forests to arrive at Kalatop (2348 m). It has a panoramic view of snow peaks around. A Forest Dept Rest House is also there for night stay. Most of the scenes in the film '1942 - A Love Story' were shot here.
