Hong Kong and Macau has been included in the sensitive list of countries by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) along with China and Pakistan. Hong Kong and Macau are two Special Administrative Regions which are controlled by China. Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Bangladesh and Iran are already included in the sensitive list. It means that establishments from Macau and Hong Kong will need approval of RBI for setting up business in any part of India. These activities will include establishment of branch, project offices, liaison or any other place of business.
Mithun Chakraborty, an Indian actor will soon be nominated to the Rajya Sabha on a Trinamool Congress seat. His new political stint will not only be in West Bengal but also to the entire country. The actor has grabbed the National Film Award for best actor twice for movie Mrigaya in 1976 and for movie Tahader Katha in 1996. A well-known film personality has also grabbed the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for movie Swami Vivekananda in 1998.

Yushi, a Taiwanese poet has been awarded with the 2014 Thiruvalluvar award by the Tamil Nadu government on the occasion of Thiruvalluvar Day in Chennai. Yushi, the first foreign scholar was honoured with Thiruvalluvar award in acknowledgment of his contribution to the Tamil language. Subramanya Bharathi’s poem Tirukkural and poems of poet Bharathidasan has been translated by Yushi in Mandarin. The founder President of the Tamil Sangam in Taiwan, Yushi has also been awarded with highest honour award by Seoul World Academy of Arts and Culture.
Death
Dr Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, the spiritual leader of the Dawoodi Bohra community has recently died after a cardiac arrest in Mumbai. The eldest son of 51st Dai ul Mutlaq Syedna Taher Saifuddin, Burhanuddin has succeeded after his father’s death in 1965. To celebrate Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin’s 102th birthday, thousands of Dawoodi Bohras worldwide gathered in the city in 2013.

Alessandro Ballan, an Ex-world champion cyclist was banned for two years for blood doping. After being accused of doping charges by a general court in Mantova for team-wide drug, the Italian Olympic Committee’s anti-doping court has announced his ban. The former champion and rider has been suspended till Jan. 16, 2016 which could end his career. The 34-year-old rider Ballan has won the road race at the 2008 worlds in Varese.
India crushed Olympic champions Germany with 5-4 in classification match at Hero World Hockey League Finals. After this, India will take on Belgium while Germany will face Argentina in the eight-nation tournament.
To prepare for the World Cup in Europe, The Indian hockey team will skip the participation in the 23rd Sultan Azlan Shah Cup which will be held in Malaysia from March 13-23. Indian hockey team is five-time champions of the Azlan Shah Cup of 1985, 1991, 1995, 2009 and 2010. Till now four teams- Canada, Australia, France and South Korea have confirmed their participation along with host Malaysia.
World Cup doubles championship was recently clinched by Tobias Wendl and Tobias Arlt of Germany after posting their sixth win in eight races on the circuit of this season. For the third consecutive time, the last four seasons were grabbed by Wendl and Arlt the overall title. This will ensure their move towards to Sochi Olympics. Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken of Germany stood at second place while the Austrian team Georg Fischler and Peter Penz were third.
After smashing Olympic champions Germany, India has lost 1-2 to Belgium and has finished at 6th place in the Hero Hockey World League Final at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi. The sixth place will definitely give a major boost to India’s world rankings which was presently lying 10th in the world rankings as per the International Hockey Federation (FIH) rankings.
