YUVRAJ, GAMBHIR HOLD FORT FOR INDIA POST-HICCUPS

Indore November 17:
The duo of Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh took guard for India after the initial hiccups as they milked the bowling for precious runs. Their effort took the total past the 100 run-mark with the two stalwarts inching towards hard-earned fifties.
Prior to this, Broad had churned up his third wicket in the form of Rohit Sharma. The batsman lobbed an easy catch into the hands of Owais Shah at backward square leg after scoring just three runs.
Earlier, Broad had made inroads into the Indian batting line-up with the wicket of Suresh Raina. The batsman edged a well disguised off cutter into the hands Samit Patel at a score of four runs. With two wickets gone with just 15 runs on the board, India were on the back-foot early on in the innings.
Broad had claimed the prized scalp of Virender Sehwag in his first over of the morning as he clean bowled the dangerous batsman for a score of just a run. The morning had brought in good news for the Indian fans as skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first against England in the second ODI. In-form southpaw Yuvraj Singh was declared fit for play and the home team went in with no change in the winning combination. England too went in with the same combination they had fielded in the opening ODI.
