A youth in his mid-twenties was stabbed to death outside the PGI gate late this night. The crime took place hardly a few metres away from the night food street where a PCR was stationed.
According to the police, the victim has been identified as Rahul, an auto driver. He was allegedly stabbed by Kalia.
Police officials said the duo had a scuffle after which Kalia stabbed Rahul.
The victim was rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, from where he was referred to the PGI.
The police said the victim was declared brought dead at the PGI.
The police said no arrest had been made so far. Senior police officials visited the spot. “The accused fled from the spot. He was identified by some eyewitnesses,” said a police official.
