[Watch/Read] Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan Talked A Man Out Of Jumping Off A Bridge
Sometimes rhetorical skills can save a man’s life. Well it sounds weird but Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan used his quality to save the life of man who was about to jump off Bosphorous bridge.
After the Friday prayers, the man was preparing himself to jump off the bridge when President’s motorcade was passing over the bridge linking Europe with Asia after Friday prayers.
The man who is in his early 30’s was brought to Erodgan by his bodyguards to talk to him. Later the man was shown kissing the hands of the President who seem to have been convinced by his talk.
The man is reported to have been suffering from depression. He parked the car and climbed over the side railing of the bridge. The police’s efforts to convince him remained futile.
The iconic bridge spanning the Bosphorus at a height of 64 metres (211 feet) is a frequent suicide spot.
