Rohaniya police on Sunday arrested the teenage daughter of contractor Rajesh Singh aka Sachchidanand who was killed on December 17 and whose body was found wrapped in a bed sheet at Bachchav Paschim Ka Pura the next day.
The police also arrested a friend of the contractor’s daughter, both students of class 11, along with Rajesh’s driver from Mohansarai. The trio confessed to their involvement in the crime.
Earlier on December 23, the police arrested Rajesh’s wife who hatched the murder conspiracy. According to the police, the arrested trio said Rajesh had properties in Varanasi and Mumbai that his wife wanted immediate control over.
Rajesh’s daughter and her friend also told the police that her mother convinced them into the crime, saying they would not face severe punishment as they were both minors. However, the driver got involved at the behest of the two girls who was assured that his sister’s wedding would be taken of.
Rajesh’s wife has claimed that she had been tortured by her husband for 18 years, ever since they got married.
