UP: Mayawati sacks two more tainted ministers

Lucknow: A day after the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukt recommended his dismissal on disproportionate assets charges, Chief Minister Mayawati on Wednesday sacked Secondary Education Minister Rangnath Misra and also Labour Minister Badshah Singh, who too is under scanner of the anti-graft ombudsmen.
Cracking the whip, the Chief Minister also ordered a vigilance inquiry against them.
The announcement was made by Bahujan Samaj Party state president Swami Prasad Maurya in a statement quoting Mayawati.
According to the statement, both the ministers have been asked to fight the graft cases in court and if they are proved innocent, they will be reinstated in the ministry.
Earlier on the basis of the Lokayukt report, animal husbandary minister Avadhpal Singh Yadav and religious endowment minister Rajesh Tripathi had also lost their ministerial berths.
