‘UK BOY BELONGS TO PUNJAB FAMILY’

Hoshiarpur April 7:
Unconfirmed reports from London have established that the 11-year-old boy found in a health clinic in Southall a few days ago belongs to a Punjabi family based in Tanda Ram Sahai village of Hoshiarpur district.
Kuldip Singh of Tanda Ram Sahai village had claimed to be Gurinder Singh’s uncle. He had even given a statement to the local police claiming Gurinder had been abandoned by his mother Deepinder Kaur, who was estranged from her husband Mohinder Singh. He had revealed that Deepinder had illegally flown to the United Kingdom via Malaysia and France along with Gurinder.
Kuldip Singh told the foreign representatives that a finger on Gurinder’s right hand was tilted and he also bore a mark on his cheek. He also handed over the boy’s pictures, birth certificate and other documents, which reportedly indicate that the boy is indeed Gurinder.
When contacted on the phone, Kuldip Singh said he had not yet received any intimation from an authorised source but he was happy that Gurinder’s identity had been established. The family from Aurangabad in Bihar had staked claim to the child, stating that he had been kidnapped from a park in March 2005.
