Uber rolls out carpool service

US-based Taxi hailing app Uber on Monday launched a carpool service in India that could halve the price of a customer's ride. UberPOOL will be initially available in Bengaluru. With UberPOOL, commuters can share a ride and split the cost with another person. PTI

NTPC's Rs700-cr bond issue to open on Wednesday
NTPC's Rs 700-crore public issue for tax-free bonds will open on Wednesday, of which 40% or Rs 280 crore is reserved for retail investors. Earlier in July, the government had approved the plan to raise Rs 1,000 crore through tax-free bonds, including Rs 700 crore through public issue. PTI

Harley-Davidson updated line-up in India gets costlier
Harley-Davidson has introduced updated versions of its various models, including Street 750 in India, which would now be priced at Rs 4.52 lakh compared with Rs 4.32 lakh earlier. Besides, the company announced the relaunch of its tourer bike Road King priced at Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
