The Stephenie Meyer's novels are very interesting, four volumes drafting the life of vampires and desire. At the age of 17, Isabel leaves Arizona to live with her solitary father. She has a lot of difficulties with her new life. She believes that she will never be able to find the love and freedom she shared with her mother. Until she meets Edward, a boy of her age that goes to the same school as her. By trying to discover more about the mysterious boy, Isabel gets involved in a very complicated situation. Edward is not human, he is much more. He is a vampire, and in the city the story takes place, some other residents are also vampires.
And so begins a long fascinating, and stuffed with desire, story. Isabel becomes attached to Edward, this vampire that do not hunt human beings to feed on their blood. Edward's family prefers to take the blood of small animals. But the more the couple gets closer, the more the desire becomes intense and dangerous. Although Edward does not want to harm Isabel, it becomes almost impossible to control his urge for blood.
By respecting the myth of vampires, the author of the legend Twilight presents us a classic vampire story. They have teeth coated with a poison, when they crunch a prey, the poison transfers in the body of the victim and turns him/her into a vampire.
There are two differences between the "normal" vampire and the "vegetarians" vampires (as Edward). Those who drink the blood of human beings have eyes of red color blood, whereas those who drink the blood of animals have amber colored eyes.
The film was created from the legend (and thus of the first book). The movie's title is "Twilight" and the actors who embody the characters of Edward and Bella (Isabel) are played by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. The film went out in theaters on November 12th 2008 in United States and in Canada. The scriptwriters are Mark Lord and Melissa Rosenberg.
