Mumbai: Sushil Kumar, a computer operator and tutor from Bihar who earns a meagre Rs6,000 per month, has walked away with the mega prize of Rs50 million (Dh3.64 million) in the fifth season of popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
A brief announcement about Kumar having won the highest ever prize money in season five of the game show, hosted by Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, was made on the official KBC website yesterday.

The episode, in which Kumar wins the jackpot prize, will be aired next Wednesday. Kumar, who married five months ago, correctly answered all the questions posed by Big B.
However, details were not available about either Kumar or the manner in which he fielded the queries in the show.
KBC has been a popular draw among television viewers — in all age groups — in India, ever since it was started in 2000.
Bachchan has hosted the show in all seasons except season three, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.
