Three panchayats elected unopposed with efforts of dera

With the efforts of Baba Brahm Dass, head of Dera Bhumman Shah, a religious dera of the Kamboj community, sarpanches as well as panches in three villages of the district have been elected unopposed.
Villagers of Bhumman Shah have formed unanimity on election of Veena Rani as sarpanch. Unanimity has also been arrived at on the elections of eight panches of the village. Besides, Neelam Rani’s name has been finalised for the post of sarpanch of Rasulpur village and that of Chander Prakash for Dhani Rampura.
Seven panches each for the two villages have also been elected unanimously. The three villages are predominantly inhabited by people belonging to the Kamboj community who follow the dera.
“Unanimous elections of panchayats promote mutual brotherhood and villagers should try to elect their panchayat in this manner,” said Baba Brahm Dass.
