Three members of a family were killed when their motorcycle was hit by a truck near a village in Muktsar district, 70 km from here.
According to the police, Balkar Singh of Norpur Kirpalke village alongwith his wife Amarjit Kaur, daughter-in-law Harpreet Kaur and her two-years-old son were going to the village on a motorcycle.
As they reached near the village, a truck hit the motorcycle and fled. Amarjit Kaur and Harpreet Kaur died on spot, while Balkar Singh later succumbed to injuries.
