TARGET MAHIM? PATIL SILENT ON TERROR THREAT

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil tonight declined to comment on reports that Mahim in the city would be target of terror attacks.
Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana carried a front-page report attributing the terror threat to Mumbai to a "call from a Marathi person in Ireland". The caller had allegedly said that Mumbai would be rocked by blasts in the next three days and Mahim would be the first target.
When Patil, who holds the Home portfolio, was asked about this on the sidelines of a function to felicitate veteran actress Sulochana, he declined to comment. "I don't want to say anything", Patil said.
