Punjab News Sukhbir urges people to follow guru teg bahadur's ideals

Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal called upon the people to follow high ideals of secularism, humanism and spirit of selfless sacrifice as preached and practiced by 'Hind Ki Chaadar' Guru Teg Bahadur.

In a message on the eve of martyrdom day of the ninth Guru, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Guru Teg Bahadur was an epitome of great courage and conviction. The supreme sacrifice made by the great Guru ''beckons us to uphold the truth and justice at any cost.''

His teachings of selfless service and brotherhood would continue to inspire generations to come, he added. Mr Badal said that this sacred day of the martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur ''gives us an opportunity to resolve to prove ourselves worthy of his legacy.''
