A student of a Tamil Nadu-based engineering college on Friday alleged he lost vision in his right eye due to injury caused by seniors during ragging.
Abdul Latheef (21), a second year Electronics and Communication student of National College of Engineering, Marut-hakulam in Tirunelveli, clai-med he was assaulted by his seniors on March 19. They threatened him of dire consequences if he reported it to anyone, Latheef, hailing from Changanachery in Kerala said.
He said he underwent a surgery on his injured eye on April 5 at Ernakulam. "The doctor said I will have permanent disability in my right eye," he said.
