SRTC employees to get 10% DA

Transport Minister Abdul Ghani Kohli announced 10 per cent dearness allowance (DA) in favour of employees of the State Road Transport Corporation at a function organised here today.
Addressing the employees, Kohli reiterated the government’s resolve to revive the transport sector and equip it with upgraded infrastructure facilities. He sought cooperation of the staff in achieving the targets. Kohli assured that he would leave no stone unturned for modernisation and uplift of JKSRTC.
Managing Director, JKSRTC, GA Sofi, Jammu DGM Sudesh Gupta, unit officers of different fleets and JKSRTC union workers were also present on the occasion.
Responding to the demands and grievances of the employees, Kohli assured that pension scheme, regularisation of consolidated workers, SRO-43, SRO-14 along with other demands and grievances of the employees would be taken up in the meeting of Board of Directors soon.
The minister further dwelt upon SRTC employees to work hard with utmost zeal and dedication to take the corporation to new heights.
He said the coalition government was committed to bring transparency, ease the work load and adopt systematic approach for improving deficiencies of the department.
The employees of the corporation expressed gratitude to the minister for the Eid gift.
