Thiruvananthapuram: A man suspecting his wife of having an illegitimate relationship with their neighbour,chopped off her left hand after tying her to a tree.He then threw the severed limb to their neighbour's terrace.The incident happenned at Idaman in Kollam district of Kerala on Tuesday night.Accused Hashim (35),a fish monger,is absconding.His wife Nasiya,is recuperating at Government Medical College Hospital,Thiruvananthapuram.

Hashim,said police,suspected his wife of infidelity with their neighbour.He had apparently warned both of them of dire consequences if he saw them in suspicious circumstances.
On Tuesday night,Hashim returned home to see them both in the backyard.Furious,he beat up Nasiya and tied her to a tree in front of their house before chopping off the left hand with a sharp-edged weapon.He then threw the severed flesh onto the terrace of the neighbour.

Barabanki (UP): Miffed over a dispute relating to the custody of his child,a man chopped off a nose of his former wife in Haidergarh area of Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh,police said on Wednesday.Guchchar along with his aides first assaulted his former wife Irfana and later chopped off her nose with a knife in Qureshi locality when she was returning from police station after lodging a complaint against him,the police said.
