Six-legged Baby Fighting to Survive

A six-legged baby boy was born last week in Pakistan and is now fighting for his life.
The baby had a premature conjoined twin which inadvertently caused him to have extra limbs.
“One of the babies is not fully developed, giving the present physical structure to the baby,” explains the National Institute of Child Health in Pakistan Jamal Raza.
The Institute is currently weighing all options for surgery and will hopefully be getting foreign aide from overseas experts.
The baby’s father Imran Shaikh is asking for charitable donations as he cannot afford the travel and health care that his son needs.
“I can’t afford to visit Karachi and get treatment for my baby,” Shaikh, an X-ray technician, pleads. “I appeal to philanthropists and the government to come forward for the treatment.”
According to the New York Daily News, this condition affects 1 in one million infants.
