Bhiwani March 13:
Police investigations have revealed that the bespectacled 17-year-old girl who lodged a complaint of her farther’s murder on February 27 has her hands stained in blood. Cops have arrested Seema and her sister Usha, 22, for the murder of their father Shiv Kumar, a local jeweller. They also arrested Usha’s husband Gagan, who was absconding.

“We suspected it to be a case of illicit relationship. But investigations revealed that the siblings and their kin killed Kumar for his property,” said Bhiwani DSP Ashok Saini. Seema, a Plus Two student, had told police that two youths known to her paternal aunt had visited her father on the fateful night “and fled after killing him”. She accused her aunt of having illicit relations with her father, a widower, and plotting murder when he planned to remarry.

“We became suspicious when she changed her statements frequently. Apparently, the sisters feared loss of inheritance once their father remarried and eliminated him,” Saini added.
