Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should not “sacrifice” Kashmir for his personal friendship with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, said Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror group founder Hafiz Mohammed Saeed in a video released on Saturday.
A known anti-India hate-monger who is accused of plotting the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008, Saeed’s three-minute-long video on the Twitter handle of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD), the charity he heads, came a day after Modi’s accomplished a diplomatic coup with an unannounced stopover in Pakistan to wish Sharif on his birthday.
“The welcome given to Modi has hurt patriotic Pakistanis. Before coming to India, Modi incited Afghans against Pakistan while he was in Kabul and then he came to Pakistan because of his personal friendship with our PM Nawaz Sharif. All this is very annoying and infuriating. But we mustn’t forget that this is the same Modi who previously during his visit to Bangladesh openly took credit for breaking Pakistan into two and admitted being part of the volunteer-movement that actively participated,” said Saeed, whose JuD is considered a front of the Lashkar.
What kind of message is given to Kashmiris by a private Modi-Sharif meeting, asked the terror kingpin who carries a $10 million US bounty on his head but considered close to the Pakistani security establishment.
“Modi’s visit demonstrates that he has great influence in the region and whenever he wants to visit Pakistan he can and the rulers will accord him warm reception without caring for the national stand over different issues, including Kashmir,” he said, alleging that the Indian Prime Minister has established task forces to demolish Pakistan.
He made another outrageous allegation that the 2014 Peshawar military school attack, where more than 140 children and teachers were gunned down by Pakistan Taliban terrorists, was a celebration of the fall of Dhaka (1971) as both happened on December 16.
He didn’t directly blame India for the Peshawar attack but insinuated a lot, saying it happened after Modi came to power. “We cannot welcome an enemy of Pakistan like this,” he ranted in the video.
