BJP vice-president Shanta Kumar fell unconscious during a rally organised by the SAD-BJP government in Punjab on the occasion of Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kalan.
BJP sources told reporters that Mr Shanta Kumar fell unconscious when Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal was delivering his speech on the occasion. He developed heart problem and was being brought to PGI hospital in Chandigarh for treatment, they added. Mr Shanta Kumar had already spoken in the rally before Mr Badal began his address.
