Faisal Shahzad, New York Times Square botched car bombing suspect, had planned to attack four other targets if his Times Square attack plot succeeded, Fox 5 reported Wednesday.

The suspect is said to have told interrogators that he wanted to hit Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal, the World Financial Center and the Connecticut headquarters of defense contractor Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation.

"So they want to pick things that are iconic that perhaps have a lot of people so they can increase the body count. Anything to make it as dramatic as possible," said the TV channel.

According to the report, Faisal Shahzad had picked out May 1 and May 8 as alternatives, because these two dates just fell on Sunday. He had chosen the time of 6.30 pm for the attack, as it would be the most crowded during that time.

The report also noted that his rapports in Pakistan had suggested him to buy the fireworks and fertilizer over a period of time in order to avoid suspicions.
