Four women, including a school principal, were killed and 14 others injured when the vehicle in which they were travelling in collided with a truck in Panchkula this morning.
The mishap took place near the Nadha Sahib Gurudwara when the cab carrying 18 women teachers collided with a truck, police said. The cab driver Ajay, who was critically injured in the mishap, was driving rashly on the wrong side of the road, they said. Two women died at the Panchkula Civil Hospital, while the other two were declared brought dead at the PGIMER here.
"Four teachers have died in this accident, which appears to have been caused due to rash and negligent driving," Panchkula's Senior Superintendent of Police, Sandeep Khirwar said. A local school principal was among the four killed, they said
