Punjab News SAD councillor remanded in police custody in murder case

Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) councillor Prince Makkar and three other accused in the murder of a hotel owner's son in the city were remanded in police custody by a local court.

Prince Makkar, a nephew of SAD MLA from Adampur Sarbjeet Singh Makkar, and his three friends Amardeep Singh Sachdeva, Amanpreet Singh Narula and Jasdeep Singh Jassu were remanded in police custody for five days by Judicial Magistrate I Class Ajitpal Singh.

All the four accused, who were booked for killing Gurkirat Singh, son of Sekhon Grand Hotel owner Rajbir Singh, on Wednesday night, surrendered in the court of Judicial Magistrate Jasbir Kaur yesterday.
