We have seven constitutional rights. Can we have another one, right to food? Can we do it now?
In India, the total number of people living below poverty is over 400 million, which is more than 26 poorest nation of Africa.
India spent more than 13 billion on food distribution programs to reach poor. That program is marred by corruption, bribery and unethical bureaucracy. Food doesn't reach poor and food-grower (farmers) also ends up doing suicides.
