Retired Punjab IAS officer GPS Sahi bereaved
CHANDIGARH: Pushpajeet Sahi, wife of former IAS Officer GPS Sahi passed away here Thursday after a protracted illness.
Mrs.Sahi (61) had recently retired from the Indian Revenue Service after having served in important senior positions, including Chief Commissioner, Income Tax. She had also served as Deputy Director (Administration) in PGI, Chandigarh.
Her cremation in Chandigarh was attended this evening by a large number of distinguished personalities, including political leaders, serving and retired civil servants, members of the legal fraternity, doctors and other dignitaries. Punjab Chief Secretary RI Singh and President of Punjab IAS Officers Association Tejinder Kaur were among those who were present on the occasion.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved family at the untimely demised of Mrs. Sahi.
