Dera Bassi: Residents of Jharmari and Saddopur villages of the area today blocked the Ambala-Chandigarh national highway and demanded proper disposal of rain water. Traffic jam caused chaos and continued for nearly an hour. Commuters faced a harrowing time. The residents said water logging was due to absence of proper drainage system. They stated that due to the improper handling of the situation, farmers and businessmen had to face a huge financial loss. — OC
