LUDHIANA: Cases of teasing and ragging are common in colleges but when such a case is reported from a school, then it is time to take some corrective steps. But sadly one tends to take such cases lightly if reported from schools.
Khushboo Sethi, a class XII student of BCM Senior Secondary School, Dugri road, who was repeatedly being called names by her classmate went into depression and had to be taken to the ICU.

"Humiliation at school resulted in severe depression," her elder sister Samiksha said. "Ever since the school had reopened Khushboo had been saying that she did not want to go to school. On being asked about the reason she blamed her classmate, who was also her friend, for this," she added.

Their mother said the family was facing turbulent times and it was unfortunate that her daughter had been facing such abuse.
