Raped' at knife-point, she kills with the knife

Mumbai: Amina (name changed), a resident of Bharat Nagar in Bandra (east), had an amazing tale to tell the cops at Bandra-Kurla Complex police station early morning on Friday.
She said that she had been raped just hours ago by her relative at knife-point. But instead of suffering her fate in silence, she had avenged herself by "slitting the villain's throat" with the very knife he had threatened her with to get his way.

The 22-year-old housewife told the police that the deceased, Feroz Ansari, 28, came to her house at 3 am. She was asleep along with other family members, but woke up hearing her name being called out. Realising it was her relative outside, she opened the door. But instead of getting in, Feroz held a knife to her throat and dragged her out.
"The victim said that she was taken to a nearby under-construction building," said senior inspector Vijay Meru of BKC police. "There she was raped. When Feroz got up to put his clothes on, she took the knife and slit his throat. Then, she rushed to her house and told her husband about the incident."

"The woman was arrested on murder charge. A rape case was registered against the deceased. We will record statements of both their family members and other relatives," said, deputy commissioner of police Brijesh Singh. Amina, who had knife wounds on her body, was sent to Nagpada Hospital for tests.
Feroz's family contradicted Amina's complaint. Ayub Ansari, his father-in-law, said, "The murder was pre-planned by Amina's in-laws. Feroz and Amina's husband, Zakir, had been together drinking till 1 am. Then, Feroz went with his friends for dinner in Andheri. There he received a call from Amina's house, accusing him of stealing Zakir's bracelet. He came back home, but soon left for Amina's place. We came to know about his death around 6.30 am from the cops."
Amina has a two-year-old son. Feroz, who worked as an autorickshaw driver, is survived by his wife and two sons.
