Actor Shah Rukh Khan has crossed swords with yoga guru Baba Ramdev. The actor is not in favour of supporting Baba Ramdev's proposed fast, which begins on June 4 in New Delhi, since it is "politically motivated".

Khan, who is on a tour for the promotion of his film 'Ra One', on Thursday said he will not support Baba Ramdev. "I will not support him since he has an agenda. As soon as one becomes a leader, he resorts to such an agitation," the actor said in Indore.

Taking a potshot at Ramdev and "his profession as a yoga guru", the actor said, "One should do what is appropriate for him or her. If anyone is trying to slip into the shoes of a politician, then that is not the right way to do it." The actor also appealed to the youth not to fall prey to corruption. He also said, the current instances of corruption like the 2G scam and other issues had disturbed him.

Khan, who has often been asked about joining politics because of his proximity to the Gandhi family, denied any intention of turning a politician. He said, "Why do you think I am joining politics, why don't you imagine a neta joining the film industry? I am a selfish person who wants to be admired by his fans and well-wishers in Bollywood, I do not understand politics." When the actor asked to clarify his stand on Baba Ramdev in Ahmedabad, Shah Rukh said, "I find it difficult to handle my film production. I will think about corruption later."

It may be recalled that Anna Hazare got support from Bollywood actor Aamir Khan and the other actors.
