New Delhi The imprisoned former telecom minister A. Raja Wednesday applied for bail for the first time since he was arrested in February last year in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.
Raja is the only person among the 19 individuals accused in the case to be still languishing in prison — all others have been granted bail.
Raja moved the bail application in the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court of Judge O.P. Saini hours within former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura was granted bail by the Supreme Court Wednesday on the grounds of parity.
