Punjab News Punjab CM's wife Surinder Badal passes away

The wife of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal passed away on Tuesday in a hospital after a prolonged illness.

75-year-old Surinder Kaur Badal died at PGIMER where she was battling for life from cancer since long, officials said.

She is survived by Badal, son and deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and daughter Preneet Kaur.

Meanwhile, the body was taken to the CM's native village Badal in Muktsar district.

The cremation will take place at the village on Wednesday, the officials said.[/img]
