PUNJAB CM APPROVES RS 105 CRORE FOR LUDHIANA CONSTITUENCY

Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal has sanctioned grants of Rs 105.79 Crore for various development projects including construction roads, water supply and sewerage projects, street lights, parks and community centers/dharmshalas etc. for nine Municipal Wards at three Sangat Darshan Programs (SDP) conducted in Ludhiana Rural Constituency here.
Addressing a big gathering at ‘Sangat Darshan Program’ at Government Middle School Giaspura, Badal said that Government had already sanctioned an urban infrastructure development plan of Rs 5,500 crore, under which all the basic amenities including sewerage, water supply, roads, streetlights etc. would be provided in all the cities of the State.
He added that to ensure the planned urban development in the State, the Government had decided to strictly check the coming up of unauthorised residential colonies in all the cities and informed that the directions in this regard has been issued to the concerned officers. Badal said that he had started Sangat Darshan Programs for on the spot redress of the problems of people in all parts of the State.
He said that at these programs, very useful feed back about the implementation of development and welfare schemes of the Government, which help in making required changes in the programs as per the needs of people. At first Sangat Darshan Program at Giaspura, Badal released grants of Rs 55.59 crore for various development projects for four Municipal wards.
Of these grants of Rs 24.02 crore were given for Ward no. 14, of Rs 8.16 crore for Ward no.72, of Rs 12.72 crore for Ward no. 74 and of Rs 10.59 crore for ward No. 75. At second SD program at Daba road, the Chief Minister released grants of Rs 26.56 crore for development projects in three wards i.e. of Rs 8.42 Crore in Ward no. 69, of Rs 3.86 crore for Ward no. 70 and of Rs 14.28 crore for Ward no. 73.
At third Sangat Darshan Program held at Spring Dale Public School Sherpur, Badal released grants of Rs 23.64 crore for various development projects for two Municipal wards. Rs 16.35 crore were given for Ward no. 15 and of Rs 7.29 crore for Ward no. 16.
