CHANDIGARH: Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Tuesday gave the nod for setting up of an Industrial Mega Park over 1500-2000 acres of land by Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) in Mohali.
A decision to this effect was taken by Badal at a meeting with the senior officers of GMADA here, said an official release issued here.
The Chief Minister also gave in-principle approval to a local bus service within Mohali to facilitate local residents and commuters.
The Chief Minister also gave approval to setting up of a modern fire station at Mohali at a cost of Rs 15 crore.
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of different on going development projects carried out by GMADA, especially the master plan of six local planning areas of Mullanpur, SAS Nagar, Kharar, Banur, Dera Bassi and Zirakpur.
He further directed GMADA to complete the work of sewerage and water supply, street lighting and pavement of the streets in these areas with in a year.
