PTC Network is starting show called Watno Door
Concept of the Show
Punjabi community can boast of among the largest Diaspora abroad. When destiny and fulfilment of obligations separates family members and forces them to stay apart, the heart yearns to meet and connect with the dear ones.
Watno Door is an effort from PTC Punjabi that showcases familial bonding, despite the distance. The idea is to give an opportunity for Indian Punjabi Famlies living in different continents to revisit their memories and relive the golden days that they once all enjoyed together. The initial episodes will cover stories of two sons settled and married in Canada for the last four years and their family in India, a young daughter recently married and now settled abroad, an old grandmother travelling between her family spread across continents, and many such heart wrenching anecdotes bringing alive the familial separation and longing, underlining the pain of being ‘Watno Door’.
The Weekly show will be on AIR on PTC Punjabi in Primeime in August 2009. The popular Punjabi Anchor, Satinder Satti will host the show.
Familes interested in participating in the show can register themselves online either through website i.e. WATNO DOOR or SMS Watno <Name> <City> to 56006300.
Registration can be done by any of the family member, whether residing in India or abroad.
