Precious metals gain, silver zooms up by rs 910 per kg

The precious gained for the third consecutive day today, as Silver zoomed up by Rs 910 per kg to Rs 54,770 and Gold rose by Rs 165 per ten gm to Rs 20,955 on brisk demand from stockists amidst bullish advices from global markets, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

Soaring by Rs 765 per kg in the early trade, Silver later surged by Rs 910 per kg to end at Rs 54,770, compared with its previous close, on sustained demand from industrial users. Standard and pure varieties of Gold moved up respectively by Rs 140 and Rs 145 per ten gm in the opening trade, before closing at Rs 20,955 and Rs 21,055 per ten gm respectively, with a gain of Rs 165 per ten gm each.

In the global markets too, the same trend was seen as Gold soared to USD 36.07 an ounce and Silver rose to USD 14.32 an ounce. With this, Silver has become costlier by Rs 1,760 per kg and Gold by Rs 345 in last three days.
