PM expresses concern over varanasi blast, appeals for calm

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expressed concern over the blast in Varanasi in which several people were injured and appealed to all to maintain calm and peace.

Singh has asked the Home Ministry for a detailed report on the incident, a PMO spokesperson said. The prime minister also appealed to the people to maintain calm and peace, he said. A low-intensity blast rocked the holy town of Varanasi this evening leaving 20-25 including some foreign tourists injured.
